Womack, MEd, MA<\/p>\n<p class=\"trg-today-productvty-corner\">Productivity and technology: Those two words could (or even should) go hand in hand. It\u2019s possible now to work smarter, and more ubiquitously, than ever.<\/p>\n<p class=\"trg-today-productvty-corner\">How do you know, however, that the technology you\u2019re using and the effort you\u2019re expending is worthwhile? Are you both effective AND efficient? One way to find out is to learn from the people around you.<\/p>\n<p class=\"trg-today-productvty-corner\">Here are two questions I suggest you ask people you know when you\u2019re looking to get more from your technology\u2014the gear, tools, and apps:<\/p>\n<p class=\"trg-today-productvty-corner\"><strong>1. What do you use for\u2026?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"trg-today-productvty-corner\">This is a question I often ask when I\u2019m trying to get something done that I have a feeling could be done easier (meaning faster, cheaper, and\/or better). Sample questions I\u2019ve asked include: \u201cWhat program\/app\/tool do you use to track expenses while you\u2019re traveling?\u201d Or \u201cWhat app do you use to organize items on your to-do lists?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"trg-today-productvty-corner\"><strong>2. Who do you know who&#8230;?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"trg-today-productvty-corner\">With the proliferation of social networking\u2014and access to those networks via your tablet, smart phone, and desktop computer\u2014it\u2019s easier and faster than ever to learn from the community. Once you define something to get better at, use this question to tap your network for expertise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"trg-today-productvty-corner\">It\u2019s time to ask new questions; in doing so, you
