The most common factor driving a job change is\u00a0burnout from their current roles\u00a0(32 percent) and\u00a0lack of job growth opportunities\u00a0(29 percent).<\/p>\n<p>Organizations quickly are realizing they need to do something\u2014fast\u2014in order to retain employees as we emerge from the pandemic. Indeed, it is more important than ever for companies to create and maintain programs that foster employee well-being, growth, and engagement.<\/p>\n<p>That thought sparked my inspiration for this issue\u2019s cover lines and image, as the lyrics from the famous song, \u201cLean on Me,\u201d ran through my mind:<\/p>\n<p><em>You just call on me brother<br \/>\nWhen you need a hand<br \/>\nWe all need somebody to lean on<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I just might have a problem that you\u2019ll understand<br \/>\nWe all need somebody to lean on<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In this July online-only issue focused on employee well-being, engagement, and development, we look at the <a href=\"https:\/\/trainingmag.com\/the-talent-ring-choose-grow-inspire\/\">Talent Ring<\/a>\u00a0that helps companies choose, grow, and inspire their talent, Plus, we re-examine <a href=\"https:\/\/trainingmag.com\/reexamining-talent-development-strategy-to-meet-the-oncoming-sansdemic\/\">talent development strategy<\/a> to hone in on skills-based hiring and education programs that proactively guide workers on relevant career paths. As the economy re-opens, companies also are looking for ways to <a href=\"https:\/\/trainingmag.com\/how-to-support-hourly-workers-in-a-re-opening-economy\/\">hold on to hourly workers<\/a>. Experts point to prioritizing transparency, open communication, and perks such as early access to wages and flexible scheduling.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the lifting of pandemic restrictions in many states, some companies\u2014and employees\u2014prefer to continue working remotely going forward.
